This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is a rare and beautifully restored example of America’s first true sports car icon. One of only 175 built with the desirable 250-horsepower fuel-injected 283 V8 and four-speed manual transmission combination, it is believed to retain its original drivetrain. Since completion of a professional body-off restoration just three-and-a-half years ago, this Corvette has traveled only 400 miles. The Roman Red and Snowcrest White paint is flawless, the frame and chassis are completely rust-free, and the white Al Knoch soft top (with rebuilt bows) seals perfectly. A painted removable hardtop is also included. The black vinyl interior was fully reupholstered with NOS trim components, the gauges and Wonder Bar radio have been restored, and the heater works properly. The chassis was comprehensively refurbished with new brake lines, suspension components, shocks, bushings, and a front disc-brake upgrade (original brake parts included). The electrical system features all new wiring harnesses, a rebuilt generator, and a new tar top battery. A new fuel tank, fuel lines, and radiator complete the mechanical renewal. Wide whitewall tires mounted on restored wheels complete the classic late-Fifties Corvette look. With only 400 miles since restoration, this fuel-injected 1959 Corvette is ready for show fields, weekend cruising, or concours events.
